Congratulations to the Junior Debating team of Zuha Ansari and Eva Glynn who reached the LORETO JUNIOR MACE semi-finals on Friday 22^nd February 2013.
Congratulations also to the Senior team of Sian Roberts Walsh and Aisling O’Boyle - 5^th Year who reached the final of their competition and were narrowly beaten into 2^nd place by the hosts Balbriggan.

Since the beginning of the year, the Debating Society has taken part in many competitions and events.  Our school hosted the 1^st round of the Loreto Junior Mace Contest.  We had four teams in this competition (Laura Taylor and Aisling Fitzgerald, Beth Fuller and Lara O'Donohue, Alexandria O'Reilly Mescal and Anna Clarke).  Two of our 2^nd Years were successful in this round (Zuah Ansari and Eva Glynn).

Congratulations to all our speakers involved in the Denny Leinster Schools' Debates, all of whom made it through the second round of the competition.

On Friday and Saturday, 25^th and 26^th of November, six of our Senior Debaters took part in Trinity College's Hist Mace Competition. Congratulations to Ludivine Rebet who won Best Speaker.
