Congratulations to all our speakers involved in the Denny Leinster Schools' Debates, all of whom made it through the second round of the competition.
On Friday and Saturday, 25th and 26th of November, six of our Senior Debaters took part in Trinity College's Hist Mace Competition. Congratulations to Ludivine Rebet who won Best Speaker. Congratulations to the Senior Debaters on their win at the Wesley Mace Shield Competition on Saturday, April 2nd. Two teams represented the school - Anne-Marie O’Sullivan and Sarah Fenn, together with Caoimhe Stafford and Ludivine Rebet.
2011 has been a fantastic year for the Debating Societies in Loreto Foxrock – the last 10 days in particular.
Congratulations must go to two Transition Year students, Eabhan Rowe and Erica Duffy who won the Trinity College PhilSpeaks Competition. The girls were awarded a trophy and €100 each. Both have also been offered the exciting opportunity to debate in schools’/university debates programme whereby each will be paired with and coached by experienced inter-varsity debaters.
