The 1st Year Fun Day, which was organised by the 6th Year Leadership Team, took place on 20th October. It had a World Cup theme where 1st and 6th Years were divided into different teams and were assigned a country. They then competed against the other teams in 13 different activities, from Ladders to Limbo! All teams performed fantastically and the competition was fierce with only a few points separating 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

In the end Serbia took 1st place, closely followed by Denmark and then Nigeria. Everybody was encouraged to dress up in the colours of their team. This was a great success with a wonderful turn-out and lots of colourful costumes. We also had prizes for best-dressed individual in 1st and 6th Year. Rebecca Keogh (1st Year, Japan) and Amy Murphy (6th Year, Italy) made a huge effort and looked amazing.
Overall, everyone had great fun and there was lots of laughing and cheering. It was wonderful to see such enthusiasm and school spirit. All the 1st and 6th Years had a chance to get to know each other and it will be a great memory for both Years. We would like to thank everyone for taking part and making it such an enjoyable day.
