The 1^st Year Fun Day, which was organised by the 6^th Year Leadership Team, took place on 20^th October.  It had a World Cup theme where 1^st and 6^th Years were divided into different teams and were assigned a country.  They then competed against the other teams in 13 different activities, from Ladders to Limbo!  All teams performed fantastically and the competition was fierce with only a few points separating 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd place.

In the end Serbia took 1^st place, closely followed by Denmark and then Nigeria.  Everybody was encouraged to dress up in the colours of their team.  This was a great success with a wonderful turn-out and lots of colourful costumes.  We also had prizes for best-dressed individual in 1^st and 6^th Year.  Rebecca Keogh (1^st Year, Japan) and Amy Murphy (6^th Year, Italy) made a huge effort and looked amazing.
Overall, everyone had great fun and there was lots of laughing and cheering.  It was wonderful to see such enthusiasm and school spirit.  All the 1^st and 6^th Years had a chance to get to know each other and it will be a great memory for both Years. We would like to thank everyone for taking part and making it such an enjoyable day.
