On Tuesday 9 November 5th Years arrived at the Helix Theatre Dublin, in a fluorescent apple green bus, in order to watch the Second Age Theatre Company’s stage production of “Dancing at Lughnasa” by Brian Friel.  “Authentic and glamorous” says The Irish Times.  The production was thoroughly enjoyed by the majority of students.  “Interesting and worth seeing”.  The production boasts an excellent cast who give natural and realistic performances.

The stage displayed a detailed set including the rural, old-fashioned family home in which the play was set.  The director David Horan stuck closely to Brian Friel’s original script.  One student says “The play was very enjoyable, in particular Rose’s character who I found very entertaining.” The production is not only to be enjoyed by school students, but is sure to satisfy any audience.
