Transition Year Trip to Chinese Restaurant
(By Abby Kiernan  4E)

On Monday 18th November 2010, Class 4E went to 'The New Millennium Restaurant' in St. Stephen's Green.  It was part of our Chinese Language and Culture module and we were all in high spirits about tasting something new.  We had been learning Chinese in school for the past seven weeks and for our last class, Ms Dong had organised for us all to go to a Chinese Restaurant.

We all sat down at the table and were presented with an array of extremely appetising food.  The aroma filled the room and we couldn't wait to tuck in!  Using our newly learned chopstick skills, the plates were soon empty.  There were spring rolls, duck, pork, tofu, sweet and sour chicken and many different types of fish.
Everyone was open to trying everything and we learned a lot about Chinese Cuisine and Culture.  Overall it was a very worthwhile trip and I would recommend it to everyone in the T.Y. programme.
