WHAT IS IT ABOUT:

It starts out when Jane is ten. She is an orphan. She lives with her aunt, Mrs.Reed, and her cousins John, Eliza and Georgiana Reed. She tells us how horrible it was staying there. She then escapes to a boarding school called Lowood, whose treasurer, Mr Brocklehurst, believes the lies her aunt told him and treats her unfairly.

After eight years at Lowood she becomes a governess for a young girl, Adele. She than falls for her boss, Mr Rochester, who falls for her. They start a love affair. Jane than finds out his secret in the attic of Thornfield Hall ( the house she is governess in). She then makes a desperate flight from Thornfield. She then tells us what it was like after her flight, where she went, where she got food and made new friends.

Jane Eyre has a surprisingly happy ending.

WHAT I THOUGHT:
