Students in Loreto Foxrock are involved in a number of 'reading' activities throughout the school year.  In the first term, all 1st Years participate in the MS ReadaThon, which encourages reading while at the same time raising money for charity.              

Each year, we run a 'Readers/Writers' week during which time reading is celebrated through a host of events - visiting writers, creative writing competitions, book fair, fancy dress on a reading/book theme.  This is a fun week with lots for all.

All teachers encourage their students to read and obviously never more so than in English class.  The school library resource centre stocks a large and current range of fiction books for all our reading ages.
