Congratulations from all in Foxrock to our 4th Year students Kate Brayden and Sian Roberts-Walsh, who took first place in their category in the BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition at the weekend.  We are all very proud of you.   The project, which involved months of hard work, caught the attention of the judges on Thursday and Friday, but the girls and their parents had to wait until Friday evening to find out the great news.  Well done!
1st Place:      Biological & Ecological Sciences  (Intermediate category)
"To investigate the effects of MSG on brain cell lines and intestinal cells"  (Kate Brayden & Sian Roberts-Walsh)

Congratulations also to our other talented competitors - Alexandra, Laura & Sophie from 3rd Year and Eimear & Lydia from 1st Year.  We are proud of your achievements and for being selected from a record number of entries for the final competition.
Many thanks to Ms Hennessy for all her hard work with the students, and to all the girls' parents for their ongoing support and encouragement during the lengthy process that each project involves.
