The following is a list of work assignments which teachers were preparing for students for the Christmas break.  
Please note that many teachers have already allocated work to exam students. The following is work for any students who have not already been allocated work.
Some assignments have not yet been received.  These will be posted over the next few days.  Please keep checking these pages.  Correct as at 7 January 2011.

Maths:

Finish all exam questions on Compound Interest and Arithmetic handout
Revise chapter 15 - Area and Volume and chapter 10 - Statistics from Text and tests 1
Study theorems 6 and 7 from theorem handout (more info on theorems in chapters 12 and 14 - texts and tests 2)

Mr Sutton  3rd Year Higher Level Maths
1  Attempt all exam questions on Compound Interest and Arithmetic (2009 - 2010)
2  Revise Area and Volume.  Attempt 2009 & 2010 Exam Questions
3  Revise Chapter 27 - Geometry 3 from Text & Tests 1.  Attempt Revision Exercises 27, Q.1 – 6
4  Learn all the theorems we have looked at so far

 

Geography:

Some classes have already received their Christmas revision work - if you have, continue on with that. Otherwise please do the following:

2008 – Section 1: All Short Questions Section 2: Q5 (Map/Photo question)

2007 – Section 1: All Short Questions. Section 2: Q2 (Rivers), Q5 (Map/Photo question)

Science:

Revise any sections of the course we have covered this term that they may have had difficulty with.  Also they must complete the ALL questions from the examination paper that was handed out to them in their last class- if they were absent and did not receive it then they must complete the ALL the 2010 paper from their exam papers

Business Studies:

Religion:

1) Please ensure action project write up is fully completed and brought to class on Tuesday 11th January.
2) Christmas Revision
Revise Stewardship Chapter. Complete Self Test questions 1 to 18 pages 92 and 93 of textbook.

Obair na Nollag: 2010 Páipéir Scrúdaithe. Críochnaigh gach ceist ó Pháipéar 1, ó Pháipéar 2 agus ón téip nach bhfuil déanta againn go dtí seo. ( Ní gá ceist a athdhéanamh má tá sé déanta cheana féin.)

History:

Ms Murphy - 3 Ward History
Revise Second Year History Unit The Explorations for test on Monday 17th January.
Revise Second Year History Unit The Reformation for test on Monday 24th January.
If possible try to watch the film Michael Collins on 25th December (RTE 1). It's on late but if possible record it and watch it at a better time for you!

Ms Giblin - 3 History
Continue with revision plan and begin exam questions on International Relations given out on Monday. (i.e. 2010 – 2005)
Ensure that exam questions on Middle Ages (2010 – 2005) are completed by 10th January.
During holidays, revise exam questions already completed from plan, in preparation for mock exams.
