Congratulations to Holly Toomey, (2 Wigmore), who has been selected as a soloist at The Emmanuel Concert at the Helix Theatre in March.  1500 secondary students from all over Dublin will sings their souls out at the event.  The concerts – run by the Archdiocese of Dublin – are unique in Ireland with thousands of children between the ages of 12 and 17 all singing Church music, live in front of a full orchestra.  Before getting on stage, the students will participate in workshops in Clonliffe College rehearsing hymns and playing music.
Well done Holly on your selection and best wishes from all in school for a wonderful, successful concert.

                                                         

Congratulations to two of our students, Alix (4R) and Rebecca (2 Ward) Watchorn, who have been invited to sing in Eli Cathedral in Cambridge, over the mid-term break, as members of the Pro-Cathedral Girls' Choir.  This is real honour for the girls and for the school.  They will perform in a concert with the Girls' Choir of Eli College Cambridge and will also sing a Mass the following day.
We wish Alix and Rebecca the very best of luck and hope that the trip is a most enjoyable and enriching experience for them.  Good luck from all in Foxrock. 

Loreto Foxrock is running a sponsored Hockeython on Friday 27^th January in order to raise money to help with funding for the new hockey dug-outs.  Will all students please make sure that you return your sponsorship card and money to the Sports office by 1pm on Thursday 26^th January.  Make sure that you ask your non-hockey playing friends ......  and don't forget your teachers!!!    Loreto College Foxrock Hockeython Schedule

In honour of Mary Ward, the founder of the Loreto schools, we take part in an annual Mary Ward Week. It’s a great way to remind ourselves about where the Loreto schools come from and the power of one woman who wanted to see change in the world. This year we have a variety of activities to commemorate all that Mary Ward lived and stood for.
