We continue with weekly meetings on Tuesdays from 12.30 to 1.30pm.  Approximately eighteen 3^rd, 4^th and 5^th Years attend.

Three teams entered in the Denny Leinster Schools’ Debates – first rounds began a couple of weeks ago.  Clodagh Harney & Ludivine Rebet and Sarah Hoolahan & Stephaine Myles were knocked out at this stage.  Orfhlaith Sheehy and Caoimhe Stafford were successful in their first round debate and continue into the second round of debates after Christmas.

We have also entered two teams in each of the prestigious Oxford Schools’ Debating Competition in February.

Cambridge Schools’ Debating.  Two teams entered this competition and Ludivine Rebet and Clodagh Harney are on the reserve list to travel to Cambridge next year.  They came second out of sixteen teams and will more than likely be called on to debate in Cambridge next year.

We have also been invited to take part in the UCD Law Society Mace Debating weekend on 26^th and 27^th February. We hope to send two or three teams to this event.
